- Brief History :

▷ 14th ~ 18th : Lan Xang, Ancient Lao Kingdom was established
▷ 18h ~19th : Under influence of Thailand
▷ 19th : Incorporated into French Indochina (in 1893)
Occupied by Japan during World war Ⅱ
▷ 20th : Independence in 1949 as Kingdom of Laos (still under control of
French Gov)
: 2nd Indochina War, Civil War and several Coups de tat
: the Communist overthrew the Laos monarchy, instituted a socialist
regime in 1975, and renamed the Lao People’s Democratic Republic
: Socialization are replaced by a relaxation of economic restrictions
in the late 1980s and the admission into ASEAN in 1997.
